Welcome to Redwood Acupuncture
I’m a Licensed Acupuncturist, nationally board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, and I hold a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Health and Science.
As a lifelong athlete, I’m fueled by my curiosity about the human body and spirit. After spending my early adulthood as a ski and surf bum, I began my healing arts career when I took a 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2006. I went on to complete 1,000 hours of massage therapy training in 2008 at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe, NM. Over the next decade, I worked as a massage therapist and yoga instructor in a variety of settings. In that time, I also studied western herbalism and completed a six month intensive herbal apprenticeship.
In 2018 I made the leap towards becoming a holistic primary care practitioner and enrolled in Chinese Medicine School in San Diego, CA. In my first term of school, I sustained a life changing injury while surfing. Along with a lot of physical therapy and a positive mindset, I used acupuncture, herbs, and nutrition to heal my body and recover. Two years later, while still in school, I discovered I was pregnant with twins! Again, I turned to the medicine I was learning to have a healthy pregnancy, a natural birth free of complications, and a nourished postpartum. Since graduating in 2024, I have specialized in orthopedics, women’s health, cosmetic acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Herbalism.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy swimming, pursuing an off-grid life with my husband and kids, and gardening with my mom.

Explore what we offer
As a longtime bodyworker and practitioner of yoga, I love blending my knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy with both Chinese Medicine orthopedic techniques and Sports Medicine Acupuncture to treat both acute and chronic pain conditions. My approach includes addressing both the area of concern while also assessing for structural issues and postural habits that could be contributing to dysfunction.
Women’s Health
Chinese Medicine has a lot to offer women in every unique stage of life- from menstrual issues to menopausal symptoms. Using acupuncture, herbs, and nutrition, I can assist patients to achieve optimal hormonal balance and reproductive health. I have additional training in Perinatal Acupuncture from perinatal acupuncture expert- Dr. Deb Davies- completing a 3 month intensive apprenticeship. I can treat women at any stage of their pregnancy journey. Acupuncture is a safe and effective way to optimize fertility, address common complaints of pregnancy, prepare for birth, and recover and even thrive during the postpartum period.
Herbal Medicine
There is a well-known saying in Chinese Medicine: “One disease, many treatments; one treatment, many diseases.” This adage highlights the individualized nature of Chinese Herbal Medicine, where each treatment is tailored to a patient’s specific symptoms and unique constitution. Herbal formulas treat a multitude of health complaints and can enhance the effectiveness of regular acupuncture treatments.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
An alternative to Botox, cosmetic acupuncture promotes circulation, stimulates collagen production, and releases tension in facial muscles to achieve a more youthful appearance. I believe that when we relax the muscles responsible for our most common facial expressions, this helps to process the emotions behind our expressions. In addition, in Chinese Medicine, the face is seen as a “microsystem" where the organs are represented by specific regions of the face. By treating the face we are affecting the entire body and addressing constitutional factors that can contribute to overall well being.
