Hi There ,
I’m Abby!
I’m a Licensed Acupuncturist, nationally board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, and I hold a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Health and Science.
As a lifelong athlete, I’m fueled by my curiosity about the human body and spirit. After spending my early adulthood as a ski and surf bum, I began my healing arts journey in 2005 studying Ayurveda- the healing tradition of India- and Yoga at the California College of Ayurveda in Grass Valley and received my 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2006. I went on to complete 1,000 hours of Massage therapy training at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2008. Over the next decade, I worked as a massage therapist and yoga instructor in a variety of settings including wellness centers, high end spas, and hot springs retreats. In that time, I also studied western herbalism with Dr. Deborah Frances, ND and completed an herbal apprenticeship with Tina Hodge of Eagle Peak Herbals.
In 2018 I made the leap towards becoming a holistic primary care practitioner and enrolled in Chinese Medicine School in San Diego, CA. In my first term of school, I sustained a life changing injury while surfing. Along with a lot of physical therapy and a positive mindset, I used acupuncture, herbs, and nutrition to heal my body and recover. Two years later, while still in school, I discovered I was pregnant with twins! Again, I turned to the medicine I was learning to have a healthy pregnancy, a natural birth free of complications, and a nourished postpartum. Since graduating in 2024, I have specialized in orthopedics, women’s health, cosmetic acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Herbalism.
Outside of my practice, You can find me swimming laps in the pool or in the Applegate river, living off-grid with my husband and kids, and gardening with my mom.
